"Sisters" Mixed Media Abstract on Paper
Sisters
This piece began, as all my linework does, with an intuitive wash — letting shimmering pigment flow across the page, settling into shapes I could not yet name. From there, the ink lines emerged, following the natural contours and currents of the dried paint.
When I stepped back, I saw them — two forms moving in quiet connection, distinct yet intertwined. "Sisters" is a meditation on kinship, whether by blood, by choice, or by shared experience. The shimmer shifts in the light, like the subtle ways bonds reveal themselves over time.
