I sat down with the paints I brought across the Atlantic and the biggest canvas I could find at the shop near my flat. What emerged was this moon garden inspired by echinacea and buttercups and a bird that demanded she belonged there.
This is the first large-format work in a new series that blends acrylics, paint markers and ink on stretched canvas.
It’s layered and emotional.
