Flowers for Friends #16: Getting Into a Rhythm
Title: Getting Into a Rhythm
Size: 25 × 17.5 cm (10 x 7 inches)
Materials: Watercolor, gouache, crayon, ink, acrylic marker, & oil pastel on heavy cold-pressed watercolor paper. Signed on the front as well as on the back of each piece.
*frame not included
This is an original hand-painted piece created as a part of my daily practice of mixed-media florals on paper. This series was inspired by David Hockney, who painted flowers every day on his iPad and sent them to his friends. While my spin on this is analog painting and digital sending, the heart remains the same: never be too busy, too tired, too sad, or too famous to enjoy the little, beautiful things that life has to offer.
This exact piece was from the third week of my Flowers for Friends Project.
