This is one of three pieces that came out of a single intuitive painting session where I stopped overthinking and just let the brush do what it wanted. I painted all three at once, moving between them, following color and shape and instinct.
Aquarius Moon Flowers I is the only one in the set with the moon placed right in the center—something about it just felt grounding. The flowers tilt toward it, surrounded by deep blues and soft pops of yellow. It’s full of motion, but still somehow calm. Like everything’s reaching, but not rushed.

I sat down with the paints I brought across the Atlantic and the biggest canvas I could find at the shop near my flat. What emerged was this moon garden inspired by echinacea and buttercups and a bird that demanded she belonged there.
This is the first large-format work in a new series that blends acrylics, paint markers and ink on stretched canvas.
It’s layered and emotional.

Painted during a season of surrender, Aquarius Moon Flowers III is part of a collection born from what I’ve come to call reckless honesty—a creative letting-go, where I stopped trying to get it “right” and just let the brush lead. These flowers came out of me unexpectedly—loose, luminous, and full of emotion. I’ve never painted florals like this before.
With a palette of deep blues, radiant whites, and cosmic touches of moonlight, this piece feels like a dream blooming in the dark. It’s wild, intuitive, and unapologetically soft.
