A Glimpse into my Art Journal

Hi. Hello, and Happy Day!

Last week I shared a behind the scenes look into my portfolio application for grad school, and I’m happy to report that since then, I was invited to a group interview! Hooray! Hooray! I promise to continue to keep you updated as I go along this process, and I’m thrilled for all you amazing cheerleaders out there who have lent me support on this journey.

I decided it would be fun to show you more about my art process today. I’ve been pretty all encompassed by this grad school application that it’s been challenging to make many new pieces. One thing I have been very thankful for at this time is my art journal/sketchbook. It’s really important to my mental health that I practice art /creativity in some way, shape, or form every day. Even when I don’t have much time, just to grab a pen and make some marks on the page really helps me unwind and process thoughts and feelings that couldn’t otherwise express through words.

And so, here are some pages from my art journal/sketchbook this year! Enjoy.

It’s been a beautiful year thus far! I hope that you have found practices and habits that have made your year beautiful too!

Love,

Andi
